Winter Time Trial

mtbttAka The Race of Truth….. The Winter Time Trial runs regularly on  the 1st and 3rd Thursday night of the month, starting in October. Meet at the Tissington Trail Cycle Hire car park, Mapleton Road i.e. just through the tunnel… 18:45 for a 19:00 start.

Please check our Facebook page or ask at the swim session to ensure its happening when you want to have a go as the Winter Time Trial can be suspended in bad weather or for ice & snow.

The bike course runs up the trail (from just past the gated dip) to Thorpe, turn left up to The Dog and Partridge, left again, then after a flat section turn right downhill through Mappleton and back to the cycle hire car park to finish.

The route http://www.strava.com/segments/8054348

All you need is a bike suitable for the trail section, some lights & a helmet.

As well as being a bit of friendly competition, we’ll all get fitter just through doing regular time trials…

Come along, set yourself a time & then come back again the next time and try and beat it….

P.S. it’s free!
